Our office in Grand Island, Nebraska, is looking for a full time accounting assistant to join our accounting team in providing monthly bookkeeping services for our clients. Our office is located at 503 West 3rd Street.

Position Requires:

  • 3+ years experience providing bookkeeping services
  • Experience with payroll, general ledgers and financial statements
  • Experience with Excel, Word and QuickBooks
  • Works well with clients
  • Ability to multi task

  • Tax work will be required

Office Administration/Support

Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP, Certified Public Accountants, is currently seeking an individual with 3+ years recent office support experience, and highly efficient with Excel. We are located in the heart of the Midwest, with offices in Nebraska, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Wyoming.  Our home office in Lincoln, Nebraska, provides office administration support for all locations, including clerical and word processing duties.    This position works with our accountants and involves proofreading numbers, putting together reports, tax forms, filing, mail, supplies, updating spreadsheets, correspondence and other documents.  The ability to remain calm, organized and focused under deadlines is essential.  Position requires:

Part time Office Administration/Support 

Work seasonally when your children are in school!  Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP, Certified Public Accountants, is currently seeking an individual with 3+ years recent office support experience.  We are hiring an individual that could work from the middle of September through the middle of November and then again from January 1st through April 15th.  This position could be recurring year after year.  Duties include proofreading, putting together reports, tax forms, filing, mail, supplies, updating spreadsheets, correspondence and other documents.  The ability to remain calm, organized and focused under deadlines is essential.  Position requires:

Software Support Specialist/Payroll Specialist

This position will perform a variety of business software and IT support activities.  The Software Support Specialist will monitor software licenses and install programs and do the updates.   Be in charge of the backup and restore processes, provide technical support expertise, and training of staff on software programs used in our firm.  Experience with Remote Desktop Services (RDS) would be a plus.  Knowledge of software applications including Microsoft and Intuit products is necessary.  

This position will require experience and understanding of payroll processing.  You will work with setting up new clients on our payroll program.  Work with SwipeClock which is our online timekeeping system.  Help with payroll processing when needed.  Our ideal candidate would have a degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent experience in accounting and payroll.

Job Responsibilities:       

  • Provide friendly and timely technical support to clients and internal DFC staff. 
  • Train end users on the approved use of software systems. 
  • Install scheduled updates and maintenance on all software applications.
  • Assist with software and payroll responsibilities for our payroll company. 
  • Standard problem solving to identify and troubleshoot questions and issues effectively and efficiently. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Associate degree in Computer Support or equivalent experience. 
  • Previous help desk and software technician experience. 
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel. 
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Aptitude to learn and support new systems and applications. 
  • Must have experience in Windows OS. 

Experience:

  • Help Desk: 3 years (Preferred) 
  • Software Support: 2 years (Preferred) 

Bookkeeper and Tax Return Organizer       

Our Certified Public Accounting firm in Lincoln, Nebraska, is looking for a full time individual to join our client services department.  In this department, your job responsibilities will include being the firms’ Tax Return Organizer.  You will be in charge of the data processing of all completed tax returns including printing organizers, printing returns and submitting electronic forms to the IRS, etc.  To be successful in this position you will need to be very organized and have excellent communication skills.  Additionally, you will be given client bookkeeping responsibilities.  Our office is located downtown at 1248 O Street, Suite 500.

Position Requires:

  • Organization a MUST to be in charge of the submission of the firms’ tax returns.
  • 2+ years experience providing bookkeeping services.
  • Experience in payroll and general ledgers
  • Experience or certification in QuickBooks would be a plus
